The Should-Know functionality is a way for your Care Team to share changes to a Member's routine that Care Workers (Helpers) should know about and important things Care Workers (Helpers) must do during their visit with the Member.

Should Knows

A Should Know is a way to communicate important information to a care worker regarding that specific visit. An example might be “Debra was discharged from the hospital on the weekend” or “It’s Lorna’s Birthday today, wish her Happy Birthday!”.

When scheduling a Should Know, the care worker is not required to acknowledge the message and therefore you shouldn’t use this option to request tasks to be completed.

  • Click on a newly scheduled visit from Roster View.

  • Refer to the visit details panel on the right-hand side of the screen

  • Click ‘Add a Should Know’

  • Enter Title and Description

  • Click Save

Care Worker App View

  • The Care Worker will visibly see details surrounding the 'Should Know' before checking into their visit.

Should Knows on Recurring Visit

The Lookout Way provides the ability to add a Should Know when adding a recurring visit, you can choose for the should-know to recur with the rule and apply to all scheduled visits in the series.

Click on a newly recurring scheduled visit from either the Member's roster or the Care Workers (Helper) roster.

  • Refer to the visit details panel on the right-hand side of the screen

  • Click ‘Add a Should Know’

  • Enter Title and Description

  • Once entered, a prompt will appear and display options for "Only add to this visit" or "Add to future visits"

  • If "Add to future visits" is selected, this will add a Should Know to every visit in that recurring visit rule created
