New features

Rate propagation

Adjusting your visit rates in Lookout is now easier than ever with our updated rate change workflow. You will now have the to option to choose from Change for future and existing services or Change for future services only, providing more flexibility and clarity when updating visit rates.

πŸ’¬ For details on how to edit visit rates, please see Rates & Products.

From the new rate change review screen you can see:

  • The existing and new rate values for the selected product.

  • The amount of care workers that will be affected by the rate change along with the name of the product being updated.

  • A link to the new Helper Rates report page where you can generate an overview report of helper rates.

πŸ’¬ For more details on the rate change review screen, see Updating Visit Rates.

Change for future and existing services

This option applies the rate change to all Clients receiving services from the Support Workers who are impacted by the update.

Change for future services only

This option allows you to 'grandfather-in' Clients at their current rates for services that are already scheduled.

Note: You will not be able to edit the product rates while the changes are being applied. Rate changes will take approximately 30 minutes or less to propagate.

Home Care Package (HCP) July 2022 Update

On the 29th of June the Australian Government released the latest applicable daily rates for subsidies and supplements for Home Care Package (HCP) participants from 1 July 2022.

These new rates have been updated in Lookout. The updated rates will be applied to your HCP claim calculations and all HCP funding scheme members will have the correct projected balance for July onwards.

Please Note: You will still need to update the following individually if applicable for your members:

  • Income Tested Fees (ITF)

  • Matched CSR hardship supplements

  • Basic daily fee hardship supplement

Platform API for Workers

We now have a brand new endpoint for creating and updating workers in Lookout.

πŸ’¬ To find out more about how to access our platform API, you can read more about it in our developer docs or contact your Lookout representative.

Improvements

Unit type in invoices

You now have the ability to include the unit type when generating and importing invoices. The unit type field provides clarity in relation to the Quantity and Unit price data and is required for reporting with various funding schemes.

When generating an invoice, select either Item, Cost or Hours from the Unit type dropdown menu.

There is also an updated bulk invoice import template (v2) that includes the new unit type field. If you use v1 of the template the unit type field will default to "item". Lookout will automatically recognise which template you are using when you import the file.

Reporting Improvements

  • Included the Archive reason field to both the Helper and Membership reports to improve clarity.

  • Included Custom Attributes to the Payroll report.

  • Created a new Unfinalised Purchase Orders report that provides more oversight of purchase orders in terms of volume, dollar value, status, etc.

  • Included Member Name, Signed-up Date and Commencement Date to the Projected Balances report.

  • Included Community, Signed-up Date and Commencement Date to the Membership Accounts Balances report.

  • Included Funder to the Accounts Payable report that contains the membership's funder name.

  • Created a new Income Tested Fee Summary report.

What's fixed
