Claiming.com.au is an Australian Medicare billing integration provider enabling Lookout to provide bulk online Community Nursing (DVA Allied Health) claims.

How it works

Refer to our guide on bulk DVA claiming for an overview of how the Claiming.com.au integration works within Lookout.

Getting started

To utilise Lookouts integrated bulk DVA claiming with Medicare, a provider must associate a new or existing 'Medicare Provider Number' with a 'Minor Location ID' generated by Lookout.

  1. Request a Minor Location ID from your Lookout representative.

  2. When filling out the HW027 form, leave question 3 blank (relating to a PKI certificate or an RA number).

  3. Submit the form to Medicare to process. You can submit the form via their online portal Health Professional Online Services (HPOS), which you will need a PRODA account to access or by mailing it to [email protected].

  4. Share your 'Medicare Provider number' with your Lookout representative who will verify the required settings and enable the integration.

The processing of the form by Medicare might take several weeks. They won't send you a confirmation to inform you when it has been processed. Once you have submitted the form, you must contact Medicare on 1800 700 199 to confirm that you can begin to submit online claims.

When you speak to Medicare on that number, ask if your banking details are registered correctly for the Location ID.

For example: "This is my provider number X123456789. Are my banking details registered for the Location ID PWD000001?"
